Eclipse – An Official Introduction

Welcome to Eclipse! I believe life is all about experiences, some good, some bad. However, all experiences create memories and opportunities for learning and growing. I’ve started this blog with the intention and purpose of sharing some of my experiences and memories with you. Through stories about me, my adventures, and the people I surround myself with in life, I am hoping to bring you some inspiration, entertainment, and education around many things related to photography.

Sometimes a photo shoot turns into an adventure. That could be flat tires, broken windshields, or running out of gas (thankfully this hasn’t happened, knock on wood!).  Sometimes it is when the clouds come in and ruin a shot that I have been planning for six months.  My hope is with this blog you can join me on these adventures vicariously, learning from my mistakes and, hopefully, getting a chuckle along the way.

Now, I couldn’t undertake a blog all on my own.  It’s frankly a massive undertaking! So I enlisted the help of one of my closest friends, Kimberly. Together we will bring you stories of my adventures. I am bringing you the technical knowledge I have learned over the past 12 years in the photography business. Kimberly is the master behind the keyboard, transforming my quiet and withholding personality, allowing me to share some of the amazing places I visit and things I learn along the way.  Together we hope to teach you something new, inspire you to get out on your own adventures, and create those memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

So, how did Eclipse get its name?  Well life is a journey, an adventure of self discovery.  Much like an eclipse, sometimes things need to be aligned just right in order for you to find your sliver of light in a galaxy filled with so much darkness.

No matter what, we hope that you can enjoy this blog while learning, laughing, and being inspired. What are some of the things you hope to learn or hear about in the coming year? We can work to incorporate that into our future blog posts.
